Crafted around 1900, this is a fine quality late Victorian/Edwardian brooch features the symbolic crescent shape often seen in jewellery at that time.

 

It represented the phases of life with the moon signifying growth and change, conveying both femininity and sentimentality.

 

This glittering, mesmerizing brooch is modelled in 15K yellow gold set with oval cabochon opals and single diamonds.
