Description

The Victorians were fascinated by nature and animals, which they used in their jewellery to symbolize different sentiments or ideals.

A lizard, which can shed its skin, represented rebirth, resilience, adaptability and regeneration to the Victorians.

This is an adorable late Victorian period emerald, diamond and lizard brooch, which is silver topped 15K gold.

It features an emerald and rose-cut diamond body, a tail made of rose-cut diamonds, and two ruby eyes. It is bound to be a conversation starter at any social event.
